There are a lot of exciting exhibitions and tradeshows happening at ExCeL London this year. In particular, we have our eyes on the IFSEC and FIREX shows.
Why? For a start, IFSEC is Europe’s largest annual security exhibition, while FIREX is the only event that connects the global fire and security markets. What’s more is that they’re joining forces as a fire-security superpower at the ExCeL event from 20th-22nd June.
So, here are just a few reasons why we are excited about IFSEC and FIREX 2017:
The commercial Drone and UAV market is worth an estimated US$700million, with more and more drones being used in the commercial sector every year, especially in the security industry. IFSEC’s designated ‘Drone Zone’ is a chance to see the latest innovations in drone and anti-drone technology, learn how those technologies can impact your business and to have a good play around with new gadgetry!
If you’re a fan of The Crystal Maze, then this might exactly what you’re looking for. Competitors have 90 minutes to review an installed intruder alarm system, identify the faults, recommission the system and add additional security and safety measures. Participants are scored by a panel of judges and prizes are awarded to the apprentices who perform best. Can you beat the clock?
The ARC Village, a new addition to the exhibition last year, is a place for alarm receiving centres to really show what they can do. The village includes eight exhibition booths, a central networking area and comfy chairs where industry professionals can chat to visitors.
If you’re an exhibitor, then this is where you really have the opportunity to tell the world who you are and what you do. The 45 Second Pitches are streamed live on the show floor and are a great opportunity to showcase your product in front of the thousands of exhibition visitors. Live product demonstrations
Who wouldn’t want to test at least a few of the 500 fire safety products on display at FIREX? Interactive exhibition stands and live product demonstrations are set to be the main focus for exhibitors at these events. So, whether you’re an exhibitor or a visitor, be sure to try out some of the products you see and bring along your own for others to try out.
Thousands of security professionals
So, who will be there? Well, the event boasts 600 exhibitors and the attendance of thousands of security professionals. It’s the perfect environment for networking and for doing business.
ASFP Passive Protection Zone
The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) have set up the Passive Fire Protection Zone, representing the passive protection sector in one location. In this zone, you can learn about best practices for ‘built-in’ fire protection and as well as ASFP’s range of support services. The ASFP are the UK’s leading trade association relating to passive fire protection, so you know they know what they’re talking about.
Of course, there’s also the chance to educate yourself about the latest in industry news and related law in the Info4fire.com Learning Zone. The IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) has given continuous professional development (CPD) accreditation to the exhibition seminar programme, which has been specifically designed by industry influencers.
Borders and Infrastructure Expo
Brand new for the 2017 IFSEC exhibition, the Border & Infrastructure Expo is focused on products, solutions and learning for large scale security issues. From border control to critical national infrastructure, transport and utilities to central and local government, this ‘show within a show’ is shaping up to be the must-see event at this year’s exhibition.
The chance to stand out from competitors
Let’s be real: this is the reason exhibitors exhibit and visitors visit. Security is an ever-evolving industry, especially with the dynamic technological innovations of this modern age. Up-to-date tools are key to protecting your business, while networking and professional development can lead to new opportunities for you and your company.
